The objective of the “The Green Mobility of the Future” project is to create and promote a new culture of sustainable mobility in the region, based on the concepts of multi- and eco-modality, connected, informed and aware mobility. In particular, the project aims at supporting three shared transport systems that thanks to the negative economic trend and the added value provided by ICT can be successfully offered on large scale: (i) car sharing; (ii) real-time ridesharing (an evolution of car pooling) e (iii) bike sharing. Specifically, the project aims at supporting the kick-off of local initiatives in these sectors and creating advanced demonstrative concepts based on these schemes. Last but not least, the future perspectives of road transport, with particular attention to the potential of cooperative mobility systems, will be evaluated and disseminated.
