The project aims at improving traffic conditions and mobility management in the city of Bolzano with respect to the external connections with the rural areas of the Province at a regional level and with the neighboring regions at an extra-regional level. In particular, the project intends to increase the efficiency with which seasonal touristic flows are managed today: in fact, these seasonal peaks can cause many congestion problems in correspondence to the road access gates of the city. The specific objective of the project is to create a web platform which is able to provide road users real-time information and possibly traffic forecasts bulletins related to the traffic conditions in correspondence to the main road access points of the city of Bolzano. This will be realized by taking advantage of the potential offered by today’s communication and on-board technologies available in the market.
