The project "travi Uso Fiume e Uso Trieste" will strenghten a niche market in the wood industry, the so-called "Behauholz", these are solid wood beams machined in a typically Italian tradition, which represent the basis of many products of local wood businesses. It is a collaborative project between 10 companies of the wood industry from South Tyrol and Trentino. The goal is to develop a technical standard for the product, which will be incorporated in a technical approval at European level and will enable a subsequent CE marking of the product itself. These activities will be carried out in collaboration with other partners such as the Entrepreneurs' Association Alto Adige, the UNI, Federlegno and research institutes eg. CNR-IVALSA and Holzforschung Austria.
