The project aims at making a comparative assessment of different wood construction systems and at creating an overview of the values obtained in order to highlight the advantages of wood construction. The structure factor is defined as an evaluation criterion for the different building systems. In addition to the most common building systems some niche products are also evaluated. Thanks to the use of different fasteners (wooden dowels, screws, clamps, clamp connections, etc.) the products are offered without glue components. Unfortunately these products are poorly documented, which is a high loss for the timber industry, as non assessed construction elements cannot be used by designers and engineers. After analysing the existing technical documentation and their evaluation, a sample product will be selected and tested with detailed laboratory tests and the results will be compared with all the wood construction systems.
